After Stockholm, Amsterdam and Tbilisi, we are delighted to organize the 31st Annual meeting of the European Academy of Childhood Disability in Paris (France). The conference will take place at the conference centre of la Cité des Sciences et de l’Industrie (City of Sciences and Industry) of La Villette, from May 23rd to 25th May 2019.
Children with disabilities, their families and the professionals alongside them, are experiencing rapid changes and novel opportunities provided by evolving care, rehabilitation, social and political views on childhood disability. Reaping the benefits of the ongoing technological revolution to improve the social participation of children with disabilities and their families is also a challenge that will increase in years to come. To rise to this challenge the motto of the EACD meeting in Paris will be “Innovation for participation”. This event will bring together scientists, therapists, physicians, engineers and companies from numerous fields. Youngsters and adults with disabilities as well as their families are particularly welcome to contribute to this conference.
The conference will provide an opportunity for research teams to exhibit their ongoing research and innovations and for professionals and stakeholders to benefit from cutting edge expertise and knowledge delivered by an international panel of speakers. We aim to highlight all forms of innovation, including technology, as well as innovations in treatment and interventions, in healthcare systems, in models of collaboration between children, families and professionals… with the ultimate target to advance participation!
You can submit scientific abstracts, mini-symposiums and instructional courses until the 31th of October 2018.
La Cité des Sciences is a unique Parisian venue dedicated to the dissemination of sciences for kids and families. It will provide the attendees the opportunity to have family time in the surroundings of the conference. Paris is a must see place in the world that will offer us an excellent environment for an interesting social and cultural program beside the main conference.
It will be our great pleasure to welcome you in Paris!
On behalf of the organizing and scientific committees
